Dignity Health is made up of more than 60,000 caregivers and staff who deliver human-centered care to diverse communities in 21 states. Headquartered in San Francisco, Dignity Health is the fifth largest health system in the nation and the largest hospital provider in California.
In 2018, Code and Theory was asked to partner as Dignity Health’s digital AOR to reimagine their existing family of products for patients and caregivers. This included a full redesign (templates, prototypes, WGAC accessible style guide and responsive module library) of their global website, medical group sites, gated account dashboard, and suite of apps—as well as iterative product feature enhancements through user testing and service blueprinting. After completing an extensive discovery phase to find out what is important to their business, target audience, and the healthcare industry as a whole, we set out to create a humanistic design ecosystem with the goal of improving the lives of patients and caregivers.
